Rethinking Daniel’s 70th Week Thinking

Let’s kick off a new month by rethinking an old argument. For outsiders, the term ‘Daniels 70th week’ is a pop theological phrase in the same labeling file that gave such favorites as the Rapture, Trinity, Steroid Ecumenism, ‘The Great Tribulation’ & Excommunication; just to name just a few. These fashionable expressions are an attempt to pigeon hole a strain of thinking that can’t be contained without a crutch tag. First imagine you told your kid to be home at nine pm & at one forty five in the morning he is still out there somewhere. He says to himself & eventually you that he’s using a pre tribulation dispensation watch which conveniently has a setting for the occasion. He insists that at ten minute before nine the clocked stopped & he found himself in a state of unknown timeline territory that allowed him to stay out until the clock begins ticking again; giving him a future of unlimited minutes to meet the parental requirement. This in essence leaves him with the option of staying out until he’s in his mid twenties. It’s an awesome concept & I wish it was doable; it would explain where I was most of my life. As a service to those who may have been disfigured in a math accident, I propose we change the term Daniel’s 70th week to Daniel’s postponed, randomly inserted week, so as not to confuse basic math with plain English. For those who can’t adjust to the way the arithmetic is laid out, let’s begin again. The 70th week comes after the 69th week. That makes Daniel’s 70th week, history, but that’s another subject. Here’s a hint; just like on the exam. It’s not quantum physics. Any question?

The Sharing Gimmick

Prophecy protagonists (especially those in the Rapture Division) are blowing a curious horn. With Dec 21st being the current end time itch that is ripe for the dooms day scratching, the emphasis on the eminent return of Jesus is on hold until such a time that enough money can be made from hawking the Aztec prediction. A new film series & deluge of related books is evidently a cash cow that needs milking. An improved disaster agenda is being complied, produced & set up for the expedient & gullible Christian market. I chuckled to hear an ‘any minute now’ Pre Tribulation specialist who has sold tons of material related to outdated Rapture fears say that although she wouldn’t set a date, she did say 12/21/12 could be the real deal. I’m thinking, who would pass up a tailor made meal ticket like this? Buy your target products to “share” with loved ones now. It’s amazing that the concept of “sharing” is such a lucrative business & those who specialize in putting a price on “sharing” make people who don’t know their Bible instinctively reach for their wallet.

On that same note I want to mention that I’m hearing some new & beautiful worship songs on the radio. I stop just short of being too enthralled in that the artists are of that same old school that says although God has given them a wonderful song to “share’ with the world, the world will have to pay a copyright fee for the privilege of “sharing” it with others. If the Lord let’s me continue to promote my cutting edge melodic sarcasms, I’ll have a tune to play for you in 2013 & won’t charge you a dime to listen.

State of the Union Revisions

After hearing the State of The Union speech on January 24th, I was amazed at how stupid we all must look to those in Washington. I will admit that although the Republican response made sense & even Herman Cain’s rebuttal to the Tea Baggers was right on, we are never the less left to the mercy of the controllers in the media, Hollywood & DC. But staying with the spirit of the moment I would like to present a response concerning issues that were not addressed. Allow me to clear my throat & approach the podium.

“Since the economy is in such turmoil & we are encouraged to wisely conserve energy I’d like to propose a bill to legislators that from now on, whenever a politician, banker, religious (pope) celebrity, sports figure or Oscar nominee assumes room temperature (drops dead) that we forgo an expensive casket & funeral & just give the high ranking stiff an 14k enema. That way we could remove the absurd insignificance, immoral fiber & complete contents of an assumed personality & just bury them in a shoe box. With sensitive application to Agenda 21 we could really make good use of the space. As one of many observant Americans who really do have a clue & are fully aware of the insincere rhetoric of most public figures, I suggest a ‘change’ that is long overdue. It is becoming common knowledge that most everything that elitist societal manipulators represent & appear to be made of, eventually will all come out in the end anyway, so we may as well assist them in a sincere & reverent manner. I found this while surfing around on Youtube. It sometimes still surprises me what you can stumble apon while searching for truth. This is a clip taken from the State of the Black Union. It starts out with a interview of Prince discussing copyright laws. The subject of chemtrails is becoming commonplace. Americans are beginning to realize that their air is routinely being sprayed with something. However, what is being sprayed, and why remains a mystery. I have heard that it can take up to 150 Gospel presentations before an individual may be ready to accept the Gospel. I wonder, how many conspiracy presentations it takes before a person is ready to accept a conspiracy? If I as a guest in your home began going room to room spraying from an unmarked can some mystery substance into your air leaving a grey haze floating about. I do not believe I could come up with an explanation that would satisfy you. In fact I think most would if necessary remove me from the premises by force. In contrast when you point out to the man on the street a trail of chemicals stretching from one end of the horizon to the other. They might pause and scratch their chin a bit.

Just Like In The Movies

Imagine for a moment the time & money spent on making a movie. Investment in the short attention span industry produces only temporary wealth for those who run any politically correct Hollywood styled sucker factory. Let’s inspect an item from the credits that few stay to watch. The wardrobe for the movie King Arthur for instance left two & a half thousand costumes in the wake of making that film. Picture a thrift store taking custody of that inventory, an average citizen getting a deal on fourth century apparel & then wearing it on a regular basis. For perspective let’s say Lady Gaga donated her old clothes to the homeless. No wonder they can’t find work. The world has become nothing more than Mardi gras run amok & as for it being a stage, many among us have passed the audition, are dressed to kill & death is imminent. We, as a nation are being fitted for God’s judgment & everyone has a part to play; grips, stunt doubles & catering included. Be sure to remain in your seat (Lam 3:24-28) while the credits are rolling, until the music is over & the house lights go on. It’s the only way you’ll be safe from being trampled by an audience that just can’t quite escape the previews, let alone the coming attractions & btw: Never cry movie in a crowded fire house!

Yesbut, Yeahbet..!

Have you ever heard of a Yesbut, sometimes called a Yeahbet? If it were a rare fish one might acquire a taste for it, if it was cooked right & served fresh. One might expect to see as many Yesbut Bars as there are church buildings. It’s not a bird & although it wants to fly it rarely gets off the ground. It could be a brand name for Vodka, dog food or an energy drink but it’s nothing more than an empty colloquialism & a trademark response for those who like to argue but don’t have the proclivity to think through what they’re talking about. If Yeahbet didn’t exist then facebook, blogtalkradio & Paltalk would go out of business & eternity would be boring for those who like to argue for no apparent reason.

Example: Jesus said; I & my father are one; ‘Yes but’ I believe in the trinity. Acts 2:38 says to be baptized in the name of Jesus. ’Yeah but’ Mat 28:19 says to go with the Father, Son & Holy Ghost.

When we use scripture to defend ourselves we have to do it in a manner that often causes the Bible to oppose itself & as a result a thousand comments will appear under a posting that already stood on its own without commentary. ‘Yeah bet,’ then we wouldn’t have anything to discuss & in essence would be without an opinion on most everything that is commonly called Bible study, fellowship or eschatology. Boy couldn’t we all use more of Rev 8:1 right about now? So you may wonder about my point.

There ‘was’ a man in a Muslim country; he believed in Jesus on a Tuesday & was killed on Friday. He didn’t own a Bible & was not baptized. He quoted no slogans or ever watched God TV. He knew nothing of the four horseman of the apocalypse or hell. He wasn’t ruined yet by theological manipulation, fundamentalist doctrine or the papacy. He man lived more in 4 days than most of us do in 20 years.

There ‘is’ a man who lives in America; he believed in Jesus, for the very first & last time, in 1980 & is, at best ambulatory. He owns five Bible versions & doesn’t read any of them but knows everything about the trinity, the rapture & watches TBN religiously.

There ‘will be’ a man who goes to a detention camp in the near future. The only Bible he has now is in his heart & his understanding of the trinity, the nephilim & whether Adam had a belly button is no longer dominating his thoughts. He is chained next to a Mormon & a pedophile awaiting the verdict.

The pedophile will overcome by way of due process & the Mormon will be elected warden but the annoying nonconformist Jesus freak will face the gallows in the morning. He is a dead man walking. Do you really think that his last thoughts will be on whether celebrating Christmas, campaigning for the right politician or having an occasional beer was all that big a deal?

The moral I suppose is that no matter how important the argument seems on the surface, unless it is an essential to salvation in Christ Jesus we need no spent to much time trying to figure out what is only in the end extra information that does nothing to edify a neighbor or encourage a friend. So become a blessings in 2012 & beyond.

A Process in Progress

The Heart is a Word Processor and the mind reviews the content. The tongue prints the final copy and puts it before the public. The eyes eat at the table of contents and the mouth speaks even before finishing the meal. A man thinks in his heart and is lead to believe that he has concocted a potentially interesting opinion worthy of the attention of others. A subtle boredom lingers in the best of our intentions yet a man will become fluent in meaningless offerings of his fertile interest on many subjects. Speaking freely with absurd yet tasteful comments he will gain a false respect from those of his ilk who agree with him. They may see themselves as being something because they thought of something and with a minimal vocabulary are able to confuse most issues completely. Some are left to discuss ball scores and the weather so as not to actually have to think or reason. That’s how they lead each other though these colleges of blissful ignorance which produce the most misguided graduates since blindness assumed style. These, among others are the most spiritually illiterate pseudo sophisticated over rated professors who teach the gullible poets and songwriters of our time. The Blonde leading the blonde as the joke would have it. But there is no excuse for this organized dysfunction among Christians which masquerades as wisdom. The Word of God should be allowed to process the man and the man should review his fate if he should end up without God. But those who stuffed themselves with religion at the last Theology Department Picnic are eating off of the paper plates donated by the same idiots who couldn’t pour lemonade from a shoe if the directions were written on the heel; theoretically speaking. (1) The potato salad is contaminated with the milk of human indifference and even the salt is getting bland. The expiration date on the bologna has not become obvious yet but the green color should be a clue. Well peppered with empty words, the news print these days has become useless seasoning for future controversy. Wake us up Oh Lord, before the ants carry us away along with the crumbs of what was once honorable and dignified literature. Forgive me if I only have one helping of the nonsense that is manufactured on CNN or Fox News. Even Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity can’t be trusted.* The reason I know that they can’t tell us the whole truth is because they are still on the radio and the radio is a satellite campus of the government. We are left to learn on our own with the aid of the only thing that makes any sense. That would be the Bible and eventually, (if you haven’t by now) we will have to also abandon the so called Christian News Outlet Store and Trinket Emporium.

Digesting scripturally and philosophically challenged patriotic ideas without thoroughly chewing and swallowing it gives me a cramp that I just can’t process. I often yawn when I read their op-ed tripe and am tempted to nap through the next serious catastrophe. Thank you for allowing me to inspire your own heart beat as you too will be called on to make a comment about something, sooner or later. Your input is just as important as those who think they are in control of the media. I’ll see you at the next company picnic or class reunion. It has recently been announced that the  lunatic Dictator of North Korea is dead. Watch the clips linked abouve to see the response of the people that have lived in this nightmare their entire lives. I myself see a mixture of fake crying, hysterical sarrow, genuine sadness, and confusion. One must wonder. In this crazy backward Nation where that wierd little toad of a man forced these people to worship him and his dead father as gods at the barrel of a gun. How many are crying tears of joy that this sadistic tyrant is finally dead? How many are mourning out of fear that Kim’s son will slaughter them like dogs in the street if they don’t put on a good show? How many are crying over the possible new creative torments the successor will impose on them? One thing to note, these do not appear to be the masses forced to live and slave in work camps. Perhaps they are crying for fear that they are about to get on a bus to slavery? There may even be a few of these mourners that actually loved the Dictator/Cult leader. After all he chose their familly to live “the good life” in the city.  I suppose all bets are off now. Only time will tell. Will the world stand in wonder as the son sets the people free? Or will he just pick up where pop left off? Let’s pray he comes to Yeshua.

Ron Paul Wins GOP debate! If you went to Fox’s homepage for the results you wouldn’t know it. After the results came back Fox took down their own poll. I found it at SFgate by way of Google after wading through many more fluff pieces about Mit, and Newt. You may not like Ron Paul, but what do you think of media that decides who you should vote for? Fair and balanced? With an article from the AP Fox does not mention him alongside Newt, or Mit. But he won the debate. This is an article ABOUT the debate. Ron Paul is not mentioned until the last sentance, and the article never gives us the winner. Instead they say this about Ron.

Wonder of Wonders

I always marvel at this time of year because of the spirit that is revealed in even the best of friends. We hide it well the rest of the year & it lies dormant until a holiday goose is killed & another ox is gored. Then an argument interrupts its silence & the worst of attitude is mistaken as goodwill to men. God says don’t learn the way of the heathen or practice their ways but over time many superstitions are mingled into church history & time has its way with us all. Paul gives grace freely in these matters seeing we are a collection of Gentiles from many corners of customs & belief. Faithful Christians in every century picked up mannerisms & practices that a student of scripture finds appalling but in the Spirit of fellowship accepts to a degree. I can’t do anything but bring attention to it. Roman 14:5 should be enough for us to quietly go about our business but it’s usually Daniel 3:6 that will prevail. Someday soon it won’t matter anymore for all religious opposition will be compromised, political dissidents will be rooted out & silenced. Many will recant & sign on to the new agenda as a result. Some will be disposed of in a festive manner & for a season there will be gifts exchanged & worldwide celebration just like in Rev 11:10.
